In my opinion, the accused may be using food contamination as an attempt at a valid arguement. I dont believe it. Firstly, the test revealed trace amounts of Clenbuterol, suggesting that there was more in his system which was metabolized (evidence there was more than just trace amounts). Secondly, these cyclists are heavily monitored from their daily activity to the exact food they eat. I'm sure they consume some sort of specialized diet that contains higher nutrient value than normal food. For it to be contaminated with a bronchodialator? I dont know...
What i would like to know is of any of his crew, friends, or family had trace amounts of this drug as well. That could point to a potentially contaminated source. Additionally, i want to know how common Clenbuterol is used to keep farm animals lean.
Hope these insights help...

M$Yes, if they thought he had been using drugs then second place would win; but, they would not do that if he passed the tests then and failed one now months later. He would just get a suspension.
