What do you recommend for learning to program ruby or python for someone who does not program?
My day to day job is supporting servers, applications, and virtualization. I am interested in learning how to program (in general) using a popular programming language but not a visual one.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Youtube has a series of videos for learning how to program in Python that I used. Type "Python Programming" in the search bar and click on thenewboston's . He is the most helpful and he starts very easily. Here is his channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/thenewboston
