What do you know about Ryan Hill who was arrested for throwing a shoe over The White House fence?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Aparently he had been protesting for some time. Here is a quote etc from before he was arrested:Ryan Hill's rage was undiluted; he railed to me about "corporate war profiteering" and said that "I hate to think that he crossed the finish line and got off scot-free." nationalpost

He is reportedly 30 years old.
It's too common a name to deduce much more, perhaps some paper will interview him but probably not

Serves him right. Apparently he was warned "Once all the shoes had been tossed onto the White House lawn, the officers collected them and piled them into the back of a small truck. "The next person who throws them gets arrested," said one, though the entire pile had already been thrown."

It appears the initial protest was taken in good form.
  • Tracey Primavera, a shoe-lobber from Provincetown, Massachusetts,
shouted at the guard that she had a pump that would look nice on him.
  • "I tried that. It didn't look good on me," yelled back the officer. Primavera tossed him the pump anyway.
They let them do their protest, but Hill had to take it one step (pardon the pun) further and go back to throw another shoe. He deserves to be arrest and do a little community service.

To Darcy Logan:
Obviously, you weren't actually at the event. Your facts are wrong. All of the quotes you cited happened on the NORTH side of the White House. Hill was arrested for throwing a shoe over the SOUTH fence after the protests were coming to a close. He wasn't warned, like you said.

The only person who should be arrested is G.W. Bush. He is a war criminal, responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people. In the past 8 years he has put our Constitution through a paper shredder. He deserved the shoes. It is just too bad that Hill didn't hit him
