What do you guys think of Zoozle? (The penny auction site)

I was checking out Zoozle.com and it looked pretty interesting. I've seen a whole bunch of penny auction sites, but usually they charge $1/bid and the reset clock is way higher.
Has anyone had any experience with this site? I'd like some feedback before I put any money into it!
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I agree that the site looks very appealing so I researched it for you and myself.

1.Registering for the site- this was easy and simple. Just enter Username Password,First Name, Last Name, Email, Date of Birth,Gender. They will send you a confirmation e-mail.

2. http://www.zoozle.com/page/help. This link explaining how the site works.

3. This is the main ways it works.

a. Purchase a bid package
Purchase Credits
40 Credits 42 $20.00 Purchase Using Authorize.net
80 Credits 85 $40.00 Purchase Using Authorize.net
120 Credits 130 $60.00 Purchase Using Authorize.net
200 Credits 220 $100.00 Purchase Using Authorize.net
400 Credits 450 $200.00 Purchase Using Authorize.net

b.In a Penny Auction

Every auction starts at a penny

Each bid adds a penny to the price and resets the countdown clock once the auction falls below 15 seconds.

To win, you must submit the last bid

c. Option of using a Bid Buddy which automatically bids for you when you are away from the computer when time or money gets to certain limits.

d.If you win an auction, click on the 'My Zoozle' tab to see your dashboard and pay for the auction. Shipping is only in the USA.

4. They advertise the Winners...who seem to get great deals.

Just to elaborate and reply to the other answer.

The Wii Fit w/ Balance Board costing $50 bucks is actually not true. I forget the exact shipping cost, but it was around $15 bucks. So it still is a great deal. When you are auctioning for the item it says how much shipping there is. I do understand the skepticism though because I would be just as careful.

For example:
Acer Aspire One D250-1326 Netbook Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz - 10.1" WSVGA - 1GB DDR2 SDRAM - 160GB HDD - Fast Ethernet, Wi-Fi - Windows XP Home - White
$0.01
incl. VAT, excl. delivery
1 credit per bid
Latest Bidder : No bids yet

Closes on : Thu, Jun 25th 2009, 17:00:00 EST
Savings:
Worth up to: $299.00
Credits used: 0
Savings : $298.99

The "worth up to" price reflects the manufacturer's recommended retail price or typical high street retail price.

Shipping

Ships to:
United States only
Delivery cost
$15.00

The point is:

-----Even on a $300 computer, the shipping is only $15

On items such as $50 gift cards, video games there often is no shipping charge.

On a $120 deep fryer, the shipping charge was $10.

So there is a shipping charge based on the product. But they are relatively low and you still get good deal.

I hope this makes things more clear.

Hmmm. Not only do you have to purchase bid credits in order to place a bid, but each bid (aside from the purchase price and shipping) costs .50 to place, Also, it doesn't say how much shipping will be until its time to pay. I've done the $1 jewelry auction at bidz.com. You think your getting a good price, however, in the end everything adds up to $$$. That Wii Fit w/ Balance Board that someone won for $1.06 propablly ended up costing the winner at least $50. I admit that this auction looks very interesting, but I'd be careful. Auctions like this can be addictive. Before you know it, you could spend hundreds or thousands of dollars. You don't know how long it took that person to win that item.

In my opinion Zoozle is a complete scam.Just this morning a bidder used the autobid system to place 3000 bids to win a laptop worth $380.In another auction today a bidder again using the autobid system placed aprrox 5000 bids to win a $680 computer. These two bidders could have gone down to their local store and purchased 3 or four computers for the price Zoogle claims they bid.If you watch auctions on Zoogle for any period of time I think it will become very obvious they are not a legit site.Do yourself a huge favor and avoid Zoogle like the plague.

You can give a try but winning a product on these sites takes a lot of toll and money in initial stages. Your luck and intelligence will be tested of course if you really want to win the product here. I have won some products on these penny auction sites but keep myself away from these sites for most of the time and for most of the products. You should give a try at the sites like Brugle.com, swoopo or bidray, however, Brugle is still to be launched before the general public but surely the concept looks much more broader and innovation as compared to existing penny auction sites. Here they are promising the collective bidding option where you don't have to bid against any other bidder but each single bid will brings the price down and winning the product will depend upon the time available to you for buying the price at the certain price. Get more info at www.brugle.com

Very similar site I just recently found where you can get brand new items for crazy prices, I do my shopping on there now. It actually started in Europe; now launched in the US.

They hold the best deals, better then any other store. I say this because of their guarantee.

*If you find a better deal anywhere else online or offline, they will refund you the difference and on top of that pay you 10% of the difference.*

So for example, if you buy a computer or laptop on their site for $1,000 and in the next 2 week period, find a cheaper one (the exact same product. brand new) somewhere else offline or online, they will refund you and give you 10% back.

So you find it for $900. They will refund you $100 and give you 10%, so that's $10, so total = $110 dollars back to you. Pretty crazy huh.

Go here http://signup.top-online-store.com after you register for free, you'll get a video explaining how the site works, and some free credits to try out the site.

One more thing, when you register for free, you'll also receive a $500 travel voucher that you can use at thousands of resort worldwide. If you live in the U.S you'll also receive a restaurant voucher worth $25 as well.

Here's the store: http://www.top-online-store.com

Happy Shopping!
