When it comes to other things in life, I motivate myself by writing lists of what I want to or need to accomplish. I find that writing it down makes it more real and necessary to me.

M$1. Don't forget to lose focus on your purpose and goals in life. Try to picture what you want to be or where you want to be 5, 10 or 20 years later. The time spending studying will be the way in which you will be able to make your dreams become a reality. Studying is your bridge to the future where you want to be so never lose focus.
2. Don't forget that knowledge is power, it is something that cannot be bought nor be stolen from you so you have to work hard for it. Think how much power you will be getting just by sitting down and studiying!
3. Challenge yourself to succeed and make it a point to face head on whatever obstacles that comes your way. If you find a certain subject difficult take it as a challenge and double your time and effort. It would be all worth the while to see that you were able to pass it all in flying colors because of hard work and study. Do certain things that can contribute to your personal achievement and fulfillment and studying is one way.
4. Decide early whether you want to be an outstanding student or a mediocre one. A mediocre student is just contented to pass and no thoughts of the future while an outstanding one is aiming to rise high and sail the heights. Making the effort and forcing yourself to sit down and spend time to study even if you don't feel like it is an achievement itself on your part and you have to build on that.
