What do you do to keep your New Year's Resolutions

I"ve read surveys and heard anecdotes all pointing to one conclusion. New Year's Resolutions are often made, and rarely kept. How do you improve your odds when you make a New Year's Resolution that you know you ought to keep?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Making new years resolutions is simple but keeping them is the hard part, the way you can keep them is make them low at first and start slow, don't just jump right into it, keep it interesting and write it down so that you don't forget, make small tasks to get to the big goal and go from there and don't make it something impossible to reach like losing 40 pounds in a month, as everyone is different and that may take two to three months to work at getting that much weight loss.

Don't make a resolution that you don't think you will be able to fulfill start off easy and make the harder resolutions after you have done some of the easier ones so you will have built up your self confidence and those tough ones will be that much easier to do.
