Rabbits eat lots of things.... Carrots included.

Rabbits are hindgut digesters. This means that most of their digestion takes place in their large intestine and cecum. In rabbits, the cecum is about 10 times bigger than the stomach, and it, along with the large intestine, makes up roughly 40% of the rabbit's digestive tract.1 Cecotropes, sometimes called "night feces", come from the cecum and are high in minerals, vitamins and proteins that are necessary to the rabbit's health. Rabbits eat these to meet their nutritional requirements. This process allows rabbits to extract the necessary nutrients from their food

Rabbits are herbivores who feed by grazing on grass, forbs, and leafy weeds. In consequence, their diet contains large amounts of cellulose, which is hard to digest. Rabbits solve this problem by passing two distinct types of feces: hard droppings and soft black viscous pellets, the latter of which are immediately eaten. Rabbits reingest their own droppings (rather than chewing the cud as do cows and many other herbivores) to digest their food further and extract sufficient nutrients.

Domestic rabbits need unlimited timothy hay to keep their digestive track moving. In addition to hay, giving them a variety of dark, leafy greens adds vitamins and minerals. You may also supplement their diet with a small handful of pellets daily, but this is not necessary when giving a large variety of vegetables. Carrots, however, contain too much sugar and should only be given as a treat, such as 1 small baby carrot a day and no more. Read my article on proper pet rabbit diet at http://www.tinyurl.com/rabbitdiet. You can also find a lot of information at House Rabbit Society at http://www.rabbit.org and my rescue's website at http://www.rascallyrabbitrescue.org, or by emailing me at deana@rascallyrabbitrescue.org.

A rabbit's main diet consists of the store bought rabbit food and Timothy Hay. Rabbits also eat lettuce, carrots, apples and bananas. They also like pears, strawberries, sunflower seeds and a number of other vegetarian food. Fruits and vegetables should be given to yours once a day.

Store bought rabbit food? I'll give you the asker doesn't specify if its domestic or wild, but I don't think store bought food is a "natural" rabbit diet.
