These are just some of the fun things that you can do in Detroit during the weekend.
1. Watch the games of Red Wings, Pistons and Tigers. The Lions, Red Wings and Tigers both play in the gorgeous park in the heart of downtown Detroit while the Pistons play in the suburbs. It depends on the season, so don't fail to catch a game.
2. There are a number of historic mansions that you can find in Detroit. The Whitney is just one of them. This is the most stunning for it was once a private residence which was built by a local lumber baron. At the present it is one of the best restaurants and attraction. You can dine downstairs and go upstairs to the GhostBar to enjoy cocktails and live music.
3. Check out the Belle Isle. This is a small island which can be reached by a bridge in the Detroit River. This is the perfect place for summertime picnics. You will also find a small zoo here but it will be worth the visit.
