What do anime characters look like?
What makes anime characters look different than other cartoon characters? Do anime characters have different kinds of facial features and expressions?

Japanese anime characters have a number of differences compared to western cartoon characters. Anime characters most common feature is the big expressive eyes which most of the time spans on half of the face of the character. Heads on anime characters also seemed bigger than usual and shape isn't the same as humans; some faces may look narrow or sharp. Body proportions are also different. In anime, characters body looks longer specifically the legs, slimmer/thinner and for girl characters, their chest were usually drawn bigger. Anime characters hair is usually styled in detail as well making it stand out. Characters hair colors also ranges from dark, light to bright colors as well.
