What do Amazon's "size charts" mean for glasses?
Here's a link too http://www.amazon.com/Venezia-Vision-Readers-Reading-Glasses/dp/B002C984L4/ref=pd_sbs_a_2
Usually glasses size refers to the width, depth and width of the bride, kinda like 25-9-32. I'm guessing that the "3.00, 2.50, 2.00, and 1.50" represent prescription? So if I needed these glasses for a costume (and have perfect vision) I'd want to go with the lowest possible, correct?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$As for choosing a number for yourself, you have several options. I have seen at local Wal-Mart stores where you can purchase OTC reading glasses. If you take a print out with you to the display, you can try various ratings until you find the right one for you.
Alternatively, you can order several pairs and have various magnifications at your disposal.
Finally, there are online methods of calculating you required diopter strength. They are basically the same kinds of eye charts that the doctor uses. However, you must be careful with these because you can stretch or skew images from the internet and then the chart itself is no longer accurate.
