Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It's a simple equation: cals in - cals out = weight change. If you want to "maintain", they need to be equal, right?

A balanced diet is probably the most appropriate. When people go on these fad diets, they really have issues because the foods are so out of balance. Eat a mix of fruits, vegetables, starches, carbs, proteins, etc.. Try to eat more green stuff.

You might want to see how many calories you're taking in each meal. I did this for a week to give me an idea what portion size was appropriate for my goals as well as what high calorie foods I needed to watch out for. Balance.

And, don't forget about that other part of the equation: cals out. Exercise each day... even if it's just a walk around the block.

Oh... at recognize that your weight will fluctuate quite a bit. Let go of being a scale-watcher. It's a nice guideline, but don't let it rule your life.
