Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi, I think the movie is pertinent to our time, in which war is financed by leading world units that are largely protected by legality and an easily perceived demand for resources in a numerous countries can be stilted by governments, banks, and the bases of prevailing ideologies. It gets a little convoluted the deeper it delves into the subject matter because it is aiming to be a blockbuster action movie at the same time that it inquires about the current relationship between the various levels of public and private involvement. Salinger is no stranger to crossing lines as an Interpol agent, and he readily pursues a single killer across multiple borders, counting on finding the truth by dredging it from that one person and a few other direct sources. This is also the other topic the movie hits on subtly, the issue of information security in regard to the globalization factor.

Beyond the obvious questions that arose when I watched it, here are some of the questions I ask. How can terror and war be funded by a world-based crediting and banking institution and remain covered up? Without it being covered up, how would it be able to continue without the pre-emptive actions of governments and agencies such as Interpol, the CIA, and the UN? Wars and terrorist threats are waged all over the world, being costly, yet within ever-increasing reach through technologically fueled media and transaction systems. Considering how easy it is for some to set up and maintain a business in the United States through social media, web-based marketing, distributive management, and cheap outsourcing, it is disturbing to think that the IBBC was using its own resources and capital as a strongly self-governing entity to help exact death and destruction in countries that struggle through economic hardship with or without war and foreign intervention.

I liked the movie because it is intelligently written, and it was not completely action driven. In many scenes we are given a hazy lead on what's happening, and it turns out different than that lead may have suggested, or the same, and the plotline is kept in balance for the most part. It wastes little time with romantic asides, does not concentrate on empty banter, and is not littered with extended CGI or explosive special effects. It strives to depict the issues in a fluid, straightforward manner, helping the viewer learn something about global issues, and not superfluously over- or underestimating the intelligence of a wide audience. Thanks for asking. What did you think about the film?

It was an activitating body experience watching it. It was stylish, like walking through an art gallery, but a little exaggerated with all those body killings. I liked the geographic scenery from various parts of the world and the performances by Clive and the homicidial arms trading bankers, Naomi seemed too ethereal almost not even present. The Guggnheim scene was great. The killing of the Italian politician puzzled me. At the end at least they spared you the heroic rethoric, realistic. I liked it will watch it again, presto.
