I started the day at the beach with my family. The breeze was perfect. The water was calm and the heat was quite intense. As a beach bum, I appreciate a Valentine by the beach and how much more with the important people in my life. We gathered sands and stones, and play with the ball and the water. I took a lot of pictures as well as a lot of beautiful memories.
Just as the sun sets, I need to get back home to prepare for a high school prom, which I should attend to take pictures. That was romantic seeing those young boys and girls dancing with each other in their Cinderella and Prince Charming-like dresses.
Later, I needed to go and meet my friends for a group dinner date. I made it late. It turned out that we had our dinner at around 9 PM and we were all hungry. So, I started to distribute the hearts I made out of colored-papers with marks at the back “Stay in Love”, and still taking pictures. In a while, we decided to drop by in a food chain for an ice cream treat. And we love the place, there were viral happy people singing at a mini-constructed stage.
At the end of the day, I thank God for everything!

Met hubby before noon at a car repair place where he was dropping off his car, and drove him back to work.
Stopped at Trader Joe's and got some goodies and wine.
Came home, spent a bit of time working online and trying to wake up (had a very busy weekend) while adjudicating spats between kids and getting them to do their schoolwork.
Got everyone dressed up, went to pick up hubby from work, and then had an early dinner at a steakhouse, which was ended by him having to remove our 6-year-old to the car. She was mad that we only gave her a bite of our dessert, when her dinner included one and her brother had already given her most of his (she hadn't eaten it and strangely enough, we all had spiced apples in caramel sauce as part of our dessert).
Then dropped off 11-year-old daughter for a fondue party with friends, and took remaining 2 kids to see a movie, where we arrived 10 minutes into it. We were a bit behind because of dealing with the 6-year-old. Dealing with her behavior was more important that being at the movie on time.
Then picked up the 11-year-old, came home, ate chocolates and drank wine. Sugared-up kids would't go to sleep, so that was the end of the day for us.
Saturday, we'd gone to a special Valentine's banquet, where the guys served the women a really excellent dinner of Arristo Fiorentino, and showed the movie A Walk In The Clouds. There was also a song-identifying contest, and I returned home with a big bouquet.
It was ok. I didn't really want much more than this.

Is the honeymoon over? It's hard to celebrate Valentine's day when my own birthday is just a few days away. It's like having your birthday near Christmas, the gifts are rolled into one.
