What did Picasso's handwriting look like? Offer an answer in the form of descriptions, photos, or videos.

I would like to create a special section in my page on Picasso about his handwriting and how it related to his work...how it changed over time...if he had different styles for different documents. Who could have influenced his penmanship. Be EXTREMELY DETAILED!

Please take a look at the page before you answer:

Just because your answer isn't THE best doesn't mean you won't get a tip....
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The first thing we notice in Picasso's handwriting is the emotional volatility. Picasso was emotional dynamite and there is evidence of a somewhat manic quality.

The sample below reflects clearly how he felt at the time of writing -irritable, angry and dictatorial. The sharp choppiness, the angles and distortions all add thrust to the total picture.
In his handwriting we can see the almost chaotic variations of slant, wild disorder and a complete disregard of the conventions of handwriting.

One of his famous saying is.

'I can hardly understand the importance given to the word
research in connection with modern painting. In my opinion to search means nothing in painting. To find is the thing.

Nobody is interested in following a man who, with his eyes fixed on the ground, spends his life looking for the pocketbook that fortune should put in his path. The one who finds something no matter what it might be even if his intention were not to search for it, at least arouses our curiosity, if not our admiration.'

I did notice that his handwriting leans both forward and backward, but I think this has more to do with the word he's writing than the emotion behind what he's writing...for instance, an l might be easier to write with a back slant than a foreward slant if the letter is followed by an o and visa versa if it is followed by an e. However, I do think that the fluidiity of the words and the scribbles create a more emotive handwriting.

Goodwork....do you know anything about how he was tought to write or if his writing varied depending on the type of document?
