What did Ayn Rand think of environmentalism?
Can environmentalism and technology coexist? Can I be eco friendly and still use modern inventions or are todays technologies not green enough?

The contemporary followers of Ayn Rand propose that environmentalism and those who agree with such ideas are a danger to the development of society. They portray the goal of environmentalism as the demolition of the modern technological civilization. Is not clear that doctor Rand thought along the same lines, but since the institute carrying her name after she died promotes such positions, it is fair to think that the rationale behind them responds, at least in theory, to Rand’s approach. Almost four decades ago Rand predicted that environmentalists would seek to justify all-encompassing regulations applied to the use and exploitation of natural resources in the United States and the world.
