What detergent is safe to use when cleaning a hamster cage?

I've read that I should only use certain soaps/anti-biotic cleaning agents when cleaning my hamster cage, but I haven't found any guidelines as to which detergents are ok, and which are not.

Bearing in mind that I live in South Africa, so I might not have access to your brands of detergents, what should I be looking for?

I would use the same soap you use to wash your dishes. This will be kill the germs and be totally safe. Make sure you rinse well.

I wrote How to Take Care of a Hamster for Mahalo and that was the best answer I came across in my research.

I highly recommend using vinegar and water. It is safe for the environment and your hamster. It will kill the germs and you just have to rinse well so the hamster doesn't smell it in his/her cage. And, it doesn't cost much at all! I use it on my rabbit litter boxes regularly as it breaks down urine and keeps urine from staining the boxes.
