This is an interesting question and I was surprised to find out how many countries have the equator passing through them. I did some research on Google and the surprising result is thirteen different countries!
In total, the equator passes through: Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Sao Tome & Principe, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Maldives, Indonesia and Kiribati.
So I guess that if you chose to, it would be possible to travel completely around the world travelling along the equator and visiting each of these countries in turn.
Of course many of these countries are separated by expanses of sea, so if you wanted to visit all of them, it would be quite an undertaking involving either several sea voyages or quite a number of flights, so this would be a long trip and quite expensive.
