What countries in the world that implement "Death Penalty Law" for Illegal Drug Trafficking?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'm refuting this because as it does not have citations...I recalled I'd already chosen the best answer days ago by seshankrishnan. I wondered if this is a bug?

In the United States numbers of death sentences are steadily declining from 300 in 1998 to 143 in 2003.

Presently, more than half of the countries in the international community have abolished the death penalty completely, de facto, or for ordinary crimes. However, over 78 countries retain the death penalty, including China, Iran, the United States, and Vietnam all of which rank among the highest for international executions in 2003. (Amnesty International, 2004)

In 2007, a minimum of 1,252 people were executed in 24 countries and at least 3,347 people were sentenced to death in over 50 countries. Just five countries - China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the USA - carried out the overwhelming majority (88%) of known executions in the world last year. In China execution figures are a state secret meaning their total number of executions could be much higher.

Countries with the Most Confirmed Executions in 2007
1. China (470) 4. Pakistan (135)
2. Iran (317) 5. United States (42)
3. Saudi Arabia (143)

Malaysia and Singapore.

From US Department of State Travel website
"Malaysian legislation provides for a mandatory death penalty for convicted drug traffickers."

Singapore states clearly in their Embarkation Card:
"Death for Drug Traffickers Under Singapore Law"
