What concert would you do anything to get tickets for? What would you do?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I know some bands like U2 have a fan club and members get advanced purchase ability for tickets. That would be my only tip. Ticketmaster needs to do something to make the ticket buying process more fair. Tens of thousands of tickets should not sell out in seconds.

M$"The best place to look for concert tickets is at an authorized broker’s website. These websites give the visitors details about the concerts that are being held in a city of their choice. Visitors can then pre-book as well as purchase tickets conveniently from their homes. The tickets are delivered via FedEx as soon as they go on sale and payments have been made. You can make payments via a credit/debit card and also get to select the exact seats you wish to secure. You can get tickets to sold-out events as well as secure premium tickets to the hottest concerts in your city."

M$That's really just a quote from a reseller, explaining why buying from a reseller is best. It doesn't really help someone get tickets before they sell out. I'm really looking for advice on ways of getting tickets during the initial sale. davesplace's mention of a fan club is a good starting point. But surely there are other tricks that people have learned...

Yeah, U2 was high on my list as well. I joined the fan club for that reason only. They sent out unique passwords to each fan club member, for 4 pre-sale tickets. Membership was $50. But it was worth it.
