What companies are researching using microorganisms to produce jet fuel?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Should space be privatized? I think it should. Private companies are better at using limited resources to solve problems, the global paradox. Big companies need small and medium size companies to invent products that they can sale and leverage. Small companies work fast and smart to build a product that solves a need.
Aerospace seems like a dinosaur. A private company has the best chances of building a rocket capable of escaping earth's gravity, traveling to the moon, landing on the moon, and deploying an autonomous or semi-autonous robot wanderer gather soil samples and terrain images. Private companies solve the technology problems of expensive rocket fuel making possible $20k trips into space in the near future. Bye concorde hello high altitude travel where you skim along the atmosphere of the earth traveling 19,000 miles an hour. X-Prize fun for all.
