What communication tools or software do small businesses use to connect with one another?
I realized there are Skype for Small Business connection; but what is the percentage of small businesses actually using IT softwares and Telecommunication Technology?
Not every boutique sized company can afford Cisco system.
So I was wondering, what are the current methods of communications (beside, email, phone, fax, meeting)?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I also know some other web based type businesses which use web forums for discussions and web chats to support products. Some smaller insurance firms I have worked with use webinars to share information relevant to many. I’ve also worked jointly with several small businesses on a project where an online system of information with policies, procedures, checklists, and databases was used to keep everyone on the same page and keep current status of finances, schedule, etc by all involved parties.
