Well, I was about to say Jonah Hex, but he is gonna have a movie. In that case, Danger Girl. And also Frank Miller's Ronin, he's had a lot of his films done recently.

Thor- By Marvel Comics.. as much as I oh and complain every time I see yet another comic book slaughtered into film.. I'd say they've done well with anything they've converted by Stan Lee.. maybe he gets more involved in the filming..who knows... either way..

Norse god of thunder movie in general.. I'd watch.

Yeah, Thor's appearance is part of the lead-in for The Avengers movie in 2011 or 2012.

Hmm, maybe I'll actually watch the second one then lol The first wasn't that fantastic in my opinion, one time watcher. I still think Thor deserves his own though.

Hm, at least maybe all the side rolls will prompt a spin off sort of. the way x-men made them made Wolverine.

I'm looking at this question thinking we can't say any of the X-Men or any of the Fabulous Four or even most of the characters Disney has 'claimed' so I turn my attention to a little obscure female who works with superheroes and is beginning to secretly come into her own power

- the Powers character Deena Pilgrim!!!

She's cute, she wears skimpy mid-riff showing clothes, she doesn't get along well with authority and I don't think she's been in a movie yet ( comment if you do find one )

She gets violent, always getting into trouble, perfecto! for a cool movie :) and she works for the police so we've got everything all set for a cool superhero movie with a newly acquired heroine and her new electrical powers!!!

Definitely "Superman: Secret Identity". It's such a smart take on the Superman story, seen from the eyes of someone that acknowledges the existence of comic books and superheroes in their meta-universe, that it deserves the chance of a big screen interpretation.

"Written by Kurt Busiek; Art and cover by Stuart Immonen

What's in a name? Everything, if you share it with the Man of Steel!

SUPERMAN: SECRET IDENTITY is a 208-page trade paperback collecting the critically lauded 4-issue Prestige Format miniseries written by Kurt Busiek (JLA/AVENGERS, ASTRO CITY) with stellar art by Stuart Immonen (SUPERMAN: END OF THE CENTURY, THOR). Set in the real world, SECRET IDENTITY examines the life of a young Kansas man with the unfortunate name of Clark Kent.

All Clark wants is to be a writer, but his daily life is filled with the taunts and jibes of his peers, comparing him to that other Clark Kent — the one with super-powers. Until one day when Clark awakens to discover that he can fly...that he does in fact have super-strength! But where did these powers come from? And what's he going to do about it?"

I would choose Powers by Brian Michael. It's like X-men just that in this world powers are accepted and are extremely common. It's interesting.

But if Manga is also considered a Comic.

I think Naruto would make a great movie. It's the only Manga that has really pulled me in. I really like the newer/current American version.

My first choice would be The Walking Dead. Robert Kirkman does an amazing job of making you care about the survivors of a zombie plague while keeping the characters imperfect and interesting. He's also not afraid to kill off characters and let them stay dead.

I also love Maus. I'm not sure how well the commentary on the Nazi regime would go over, but I think it's one of the best historically-based comics out there.

I'm also a huge fan of Marvel 1602 and think seeing famous Marvel characters in a period piece is just fun.

Neil Gaiman's Sandman series also would be perfect for some surreal films or even just a modern, goth film about Death, one of my favorite characters.

I'm suprised nobody mentioned The Walking Dead. It's an excellent series with great atmosphere and characters. Reading a couple of issues I really felt connected to the characters. Maybe it's cause it's has more moments of character development than action scenes, but it's still quite nice to see something with Zombies in it that doesn't go for all action scenes and focuses on story.

Another comic that needs to be a movie is The Goon. I just want to see a stop motion or Jim Hensen feature of that.

How about a comic book that isn't so mainstream like Marvel and Disney...
Has anyone heard of Emily The Strange? I love it...it's funny...dark...and sometimes witty. Could be an animation...could be something similar to Beetlejuice...dark...eerie setting with odd effects...
