What colleges are in L.A.?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hello, @lauraagin!

There are a large number of colleges and universities in Los Angeles County, the most populous city in California and the second most populous in the US, with close to four million residents in the City of L.A., and almost 10 million in the greater metro area.

Located within the City of Los Angeles are nine community colleges of the Los Angeles Community College District:

East Los Angeles College (ELAC), Los Angeles City College (LACC), Los Angeles Harbor College, Los Angeles Mission College, Los Angeles Pierce College, Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC), Los Angeles Southwest College, Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and West Los Angeles College.

There are three state universities within L.A.:
California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA), California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

A large number of private colleges and universities and graduated schools are located in L.A.; the most noteworthy being:
American Film Institute Conservatory, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Loyola Marymount University, Loyola Law School. Marymount College, Mount St. Mary's College, Occidental College Otis College of Art and Design, Southwestern Law School, and University of Southern California (USC).

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
