Pittsburgh is much more affordable to live in than Philadelphia. Housing costs and transportation costs are significantly less. The cost of restaurants, groceries and utilities are also less than in Philadelphia. Living costs in Central Pennsylvania are also relatively inexpensive compared to Philadelphia.
