What cities have rivers running through the middle of them?

You can list cities from any part of the world.
Tip for best answer: M$4.03
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Tulsa, Oklahoma has the Arkansas River running through the center of it. Developers are currently working on a plan to create an island there for office buildings, shopping, and entertainment.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is also bisected by the North Canadian River, which is called the Oklahoma River inside city limits. Visitors can take tours of the river through the Oklahoma River cruises, which start in bricktown.

I don't know this for sure, but I'd think that most of the world population areas have rivers running through them. Large cities such as those listed, but also many small towns and cities are clustered around rivers. Rivers have historically provided water, fish for food, transportation lanes, and more recently in history, power for industrial factories. Where I am in central Massachusetts, pretty much every significant population center has a river associated with it. Leominster and Fitchburg have the Nashua River, Hudson and Maynard have the Assabet River, and many cities are next to the Connecticut River in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Conn.

You may want to include the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul). I know that they are two different cities, but they share a very close culture and history. There's a reason they're named the Twin Cities.

Good ol Grand Rapids, MI.

it divides the city into west and east. Also it kinda smells like sewage run off and people make jokes if you swim in it you will come out with another body part growing off you.

Also last year during "ArtPrize" we had a river monster, now its a pond monster at the jon ball zoo.

The best part about the Grand river is the islands that are spread out along the water. People have tried to buy them but the land is very unstable and every year the erosion is noticeable to the un trained eye. This means they are perfect spots for dates, if your date doesn't mind climbing old train equipment. What could be better that taking a girl to your own private island?
