Earthquake Epicenter in the coast of Chile.
http://www.ideasgeek.net/wp-content/images/exposicion-terremoto-chile.png

This natural disaster touched and affected all the Chilean Pacific coastal cities from Antofagasta in the north, to Valdivia in the south. Considering that Chile is the longest country in the world that suffered several quakes and tsunamis at the same time, with 81 aftershocks experienced so far, the disaster is not viewed as a typical earthquake anymore, it is now considered a cataclysm!

The magnitude 8.8 quake touched the cities of Concepción, Talca, Valparaiso, Santiago de Chile, San Bernardo, and Paime. From those places, the most affected were the major cities of Concepción and Talca, and the small cities of Curico and Rengo along with other areas from the VII and VIII administrative regions.

The city port of Talcahuano, home of good portion of the Chilean Navy suffered a tsunami that entered the port's downtown area leaving fish boats stranded in the middle of the fields. Also, the Islands of Juan Fernandez and the famous Robinson Crusoe Island hundred of miles from the continent, out in the Pacific Ocean, suffered two terrible tsunamis. Easter Island was also alerted for a tsunami watch.

What does the color concentric lines mean?

How many cities reside in each colored line?

I believe is some kind of concentric wave line marking the direction in which the earthquake advanced starting from the epicenter marked with the black star. The epicenter occurred so close to shore that it leaved literally no time for a tsunami warning. Inside the small orange concentric line, the most notable locations affected are the cities of Concepcion, which is the second largest on the nation, and Talca. Inside the second yellow concentric line, the affected cities rose in number, among them Temuco, Rancagua, Santiago and Valparaiso, in all, about two dozen cities were inside the closest concentric circles to the epicenter.

News today in Chile was talking about the failure of the Chilean Navy to identify the treat of a tsunami in the coastal region despite clear indications immediately after the earthquake. However, they issue the alarm and many citizens were evacuated to higher ground. But now Chilean authorities are questioning why the Navy failed to addressed the tsunami treat.

As for the links two of them seemed to work properly from my side, the third one if not linking. They all are Spanish speaking web sites but that shouldn´t be a problem. Since I'm also in South America I connect without any problem but maybe your navigator in not tweaked to work with servers in this continent. ¿Don´t know why you can not see the other two?

Now the links:

This is the TV news channel NTN 24 that is aired to all of South America, I posted it because included a recent video with the title "Destrucción en las Principales Ciudades Chilenas" (Destruction on Major Chilean Cities) and backed the information I posted with the Answer. -Just checked and is working fine-

This is from the Ideas @ Geek web site. The first time I checked after your warning the link re-directed to AOL News web site and apparently was not working or no redirecting to the address. I tried a second time and it worked. This is the site were I got the map and also got an extensive account on the history of past quakes on the South American country. -Just checked and was out of service first time, but opened on the second try. It seem like an unreliable link but info is good when opens-

This is the site for Radio 19 de Abril (April 19 Radio) which is a foreign web page based at Gothenburg, Sweden, probably run by Chilean expatriates in that country. The site deals with information on everything related to Chile, now with latest news about the catastrophe and info on the affected cities. Again, this backed my Answer to your Question. -Just checked and is working fine-
