Why did "Wilson Philips" disband?
I was a big fan of the group Wilson Philips way back in the 90's. I love their songs especially "Hold On" and "Release Me" which are my favorites. I haven't kept track of the group since then. I was wondering if you know why this group disband? How many albums did they release before they broke up? Is there a chance that this group will reunite for another album?

Wilson Phillips was a group with 3 members, Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson andChynna Phillips. These 3 girls, two of them sisters and the other one a friend, grew up together in California. The Wilsons are the daughters of The Beach Boys member, Brain Wilson and Phillips is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & The Papas.
They had to albums in the 1990s:
Wilson Phillips 1990
Shadows and Light 1992
Soon after Shadows of the Night was released to the public, Phillips announced she would be pursuing a solo career. So this is they major reason the band disbanded.
The Wilson sisters released a holiday album together in 1993. Phillips had a solo album in 1995 titled 'Naked and Scared'. In 1995 Carnie also had a short-lived talk show called 'Carnie'. Then in 1997 the Wilsons did some work with their father and had the single '"Monday Without You'".
Wilson Phillips reunited to do an album in 2004 called '"California"'. They did a remake of Fleetwood Macs '"Go Your Own Way"'
They had two shows together in Nov. of 2008. There is some talk of an album to be released this year, 2010.
In addition there were 3 different greatest hits or best of albums from 1998 - 2005
