What causes that itching at the bottom of your ear?

If you've experience it, you know what I mean. That itch that feels like it's at the very bottom of your ear, but rubbing your tongue against the top corner of your mouth somehow scratches it..sort of. What causes that? How do you get rid of it?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This always occurs for me when I'm having an allergy attack (for hayfever). I can avoid it by making sure to take allergy medicine (Zyrtec is my preferred brand).

Is it oil? Dry skin? Maybe a fungus.
