If you leave out "in law" or "step" variations:
SINGER: husband to WIDOW, who is wife to SINGER
FATHER: father to SINGER, (who is FATHER's son), so father to WIDOW
FATHER: husband to DAUGHTER, (DAUGHTER is wife), so son to WIDOW, so son to SINGER
DAUGHTER: daughter to WIDOW, (who is mother to DAUGHTER), so to SINGER
DAUGHTER: mother to SINGER (who is son to DAUGHTER), so mother to WIDOW
And it gets fun:
If SINGER is his son (FATHER)'s son, then he is his grandfather and grandson. But by being his grandfather/ grandson, he is also his great-grandfather and great-grandson.... ad infinitum.
If WIDOW is DAUGHTER's mother and DAUGHTER is SINGER's mother, then she is SINGER's grandmother and grandaughter at the same time, also ad nauseum.
Okay, enough! Don't even throw in the babies. This is the kind of thing that should get filed with tooth fairies and the Easter bunny... except it happened in real life:
