What can Windows 7 Media Center do for me?

How can I record live TV with Windows 7? Where can I get step-by-step instructions for recording or pausing live TV with Windows 7?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

All you need to do, to record live TV with Windows 7, is to follow this simple steps;

*First you would need; A TV tuner (this is a device that connects to your computer through an external expansion port), and a TV signal source (which can be a cable TV jack or a TV antenna).

* Once you are ready to record the live TV show or program, simple Click on the Start button (which is the windows icon, with for colors)
*Click on ‘’All Programs’’, and then click on ‘’Windows Media Center’’.

*On the start screen of the Windows Media Center, scroll over to ‘’TV’’, and then click on ‘’ Live TV’’.

*While the program is airing, just move your computer mouse icon, so that you can see the playback controls, and then click on ‘’Record’’ (the red dotted icon).

*Your program will be recorded, just as you want it.
