What can I legally do with my Educational version of Photoshop CS3? Sell it ... give it away.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Depending on the educational licensing agreement you accepted at the time of purchase, ownership is not usually transferable in the *legal* sense, and most (if not all) educational licenses prohibit the resale of the product except by the licensed institution. Ownership, in the eyes of the software company, connotes technical support, software updates, warranty coverage, etc. That being said, there is nothing preventing you from giving the product to someone else, but keep in mind that whoever ends up using the software will not be legally entitled to the same benefits you enjoyed as the official owner.
