I've gone through your site and I can say that its preliminary design serves it purpose. It's informative and easy to navigate. Also it has all the basic functionality a customer would look for.

What can be greatly improved is the look of this site, which I think needs a professional appearance. At the moment it looks a bit amateurish. Remember the customer is going to judge how well you can design their site by looking at yours. I suggest the following:

1. Use a more professional looking template
2. Add multimedia/JavaScript/Flash elements to make your website flashier and to demonstrate your skill

This is just my opinion, not a comprehensive site review. If I was a crafter, serious about the business, and looking to establish a presence online, I would want to do that through a company with a professional image. Your site is very creative and very cute... but I am not sure that is what I would be seeking. While the websites you produce are very professional looking, your own site does not portray the same image... but I'm not suggesting that won't work. One thing that would improve the first impression for me personally would be if you added quality images of products other customers have promoted and sold by using your services.

For functionality your site is nice, but for design there is lot to do.

1. Change your color scheme. I understand your concept of the sky but that does not work actually. I suggest use a beautiful blue shade with slick white middle writing portion, with shiny buttons of defused red shade, or you can use your own choice.

2. Remove please that cloud part of the left hand top corner, that makes the page childish not professional.

3. Rather create your contact information on a different page of your site, bring them in your home page. It will help your viewers to ease up their contact process. Because you know people don't have enough time and patience.

4. Use your space more efficiently. Both left and right side of your main writing area can be used to link of other important contents (like photos of your creations, important links of other web sites, advertisements, A Search Engine, Information about you and your upcoming works, etc).

I really like the custom design feature of the site. As an artist at one time I was trying to get squarespace to design a website for me. Most artists and people in general who want a well designed website either do not have the skill or the time to build one themselves. I think that feature is a really important.

I am not sure about the pastel colors of the website but the site is directed at crafters so I am do not think it needs to be more modern or stark - that is more my personal flavor than anything else.
