What can I do to help my gecko who is having issues shedding skin around his eyes?
ive tried to spray him daily with water and shedding aide spray, neither of them seem to help make it moist enough. ive tried rubbing gently around the skin to help it come off but that isnt working either. am i going to end up needing to take him to the vet to have them handle it or is there something else im missing?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Make sure the gecko has ample humidity. You may want to spritz it with warm water to help that along. Also be sure there are enough branches and rocks in the terrarium, because geckos use those objects to help shed the skin from the face.

I'm assuming this is a leopard gecko, being they are by far the most common geckos kept as pets. They need a relatively dry environment but you can place a humidity box within the cage that the gecko can go into when shedding. These generally solve any shedding issues. Just use a rubbermaid container, place moist moss or paper towels inside, and cut an entrance hole.
