What can I do about the faulty dimmer switch to my chandelier?

It doesn't dim as well as it used to. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the brightest... it used to go from 1-10 just fine... now it goes from 10-8 or so.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

They are easily replaced. If the problem is the wall switch (get someone with electrical certification, if you aren't confident to replace it yourself). If instead the problem turns out to be wiring related you'll need an electrician. Replacing aging wiring in the wall won't be fun, but it might solve other problems and end up making your house safer.

Are you still using the same bulbs as before? Incandescent? If not and you're using newer energy efficient ones, make sure to read the instructions. Some are not meant to be used with dimmers. It shortens their life wasted one figuring that out :(
