What browser would you recommend for an Windows XP machine that's not IE and not Firefox? Looking for something light, fast, and non-crashy

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Google Chrome is speedy and pretty light.

Opera is also fairly quick, light and stable.

I would recommend the following, but lean towards Google Chrome. Supposedly the Lunascape browser is the fastest.

Google Chrome

Opera
http://www.opera.com

Lunascape
http://www.lunascape.tv

Chrome works for me. It doesn't hog a lot of resources, and its not crashy at all. Loads very quickly too.

I use Safari on my Windows XP machine at home and it works great - way faster than IE - http://www.apple.com/safari/

I would agree to use Google's Chrome, as it is very fast and loads quicker than my IE or FF. But one thing to consider on changing or adding browsers is the plugins or add-ons you have on your FF. My FF at work has lots of add-ons and plugins that I use for development and online marketing, which is why it is not as fast as it should. But the FF in one of my personal laptops only has a few plugins and add-ons, which loads much faster than my FF at work. So given that consideration, you may also want to adjust your settings/add-ons that will increase your browser performance.

I use multiple browsers for everday use: FF for research/bookmarking/SMM, and Chrome for normal internet browsing.

Good luck!

There are 2 other browser's you might want to look at, Opera and Google Chrome.

http://www.opera.com/

Chrome especially is especially minimalist/light and fast.
