What bookmarking sites do you recommend apart from Delicious?
Are there any other sites you'd recommend with similar functionality?
Functions that are important...
- Easy and quick bookmarking, e.g. one click on a bookmarklet to get going
- Easy and quick tagging, e.g. by offering suggestions to choose from
- Must work well in Firefox and Safari, and pref other browsers too
- Can choose whether bookmarks shared or private
Functions that would be nice, but less important
- Share bookmarks easily and automatically via other social media, e.g. Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Wordpress
- Discover sites bookmarked by people who marked the same pages as me
Generally the social aspect is a lot less important to me than being able to easily find pages again when I want to, using tags or searches, and being able to seamlessly access and use everything in different browsers
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I have not explored all of the features but I think most of your criteria can be met.
Click my profile on Propeller and you will see that there is a "Submissions" button.

Using this "Submissions" button allows a user easy access to all of the articles and other submissions they have made to this sharing/bookmarking site. Propeller works like Digg and but as a newer user of Propeller I have found is as useful as Delicious is in the bookmarking department.
I have even started a group in Propeller for Mahalo links anyone can join this group and there are zero restrictions on what can be submitted to this group. I just noticed today that the "mahalodotcom" Propeller group has two new members so including me that is three total. .. not really a sharing/bookmarking powerhouse but all big things started out small.

I found out about Propeller through the Mahalo sister sites sharing feature menu where the red Propeller logo was eye catching and I decided to explore the new to me sharing feature. I have liked using Propeller so far. The picture below shows a sharing feature menu from one of the Mahalo sister sites and the Propeller logo can be seen just below MySpace and just above Technorati.

M$Hi @iamsid.
You're new to Mahalo, so welcome. Here we expect a bit more detail in answer than a one liner with a link, especially for a tipped question.
In this case an explanation is really needed of why you like the site, and why it's worth my time to visit the link and check it out.
1. Digg, "provide a place where people can collectively determine the value of content and we’re changing the way people consume information online."
2. Reddit, "a source for what's new and popular on the web."
3. Stumbleupon, "presents only web sites that have been suggested by other like-minded Stumblers."
4. Tweetmeme, "aggregates all the popular links on Twitter to determine which links are popular. "
5. Mixx, "all of the content is user-generated, which means that we don't have an editor who decides what you should find interesting."
6. Fark, "is a news aggregator and an edited social networking news site."
7. Slashdot
8. Clipmarks, "you can see clips of text, images or video about all sorts of topics that people find while surfing the web."
9. Newsvine, "read stories from established media organizations like the Associated Press and ESPN as well as individual contributors from all around the world."
10. Propeller, "a social news portal, meaning that it is programmed by you – the audience."

M$Alas, these are not really bookmarking sites at all.
They are sites for sharing interesting links with other people, but suck when it comes to finding a site again when you need to it. I'd heard of most of them, and I've used a couple of them before as they have advantages for discovering interesting content, but they have no advantage when it comes to organizing info and being able to quickly find it when you need it.

In that case I will check it out.
I'm not esp interested in the Digg-like features, but a Mahalo group could be useful.
One thing I would hate is a site that prevents me from "submitting" my own content (like Mahalo Q&A) because it thinks of it as promotion, whereas all I want is to organize info and make it findable.
