Interesting question. I dunno if this would count, but I took an interest in the Three Kingdoms era of Chinese history after playing a lot of the video game Dynasty Warriors. So after reading about the heroes and villains of the era, I purchased the 4 volume book set.
I highly recommend it. It has a great deal of history, romance, war, drama, violence, and strategy. You may enjoy it dave, and be able to get some good questions out of it!
