What area of the country has the best ski resorts? Best terrain? Best snow? Best accessibility and apres-ski?

My personal favorite is the Lake Tahoe area on the California/Nevada border. there are many ski resorts, from giant mountains such as Heavenly, to smaller more personal mountains, like Kirkwood (my favorite). On the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe there are a few large casinos that offer up some great night life. The towns around the lake also have plenty of great restaurants, as well as water sports during the summer. There are shuttles from the major casino resorts to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, which is only about an hour away. Sacramento is also only a few hours drive.

What about ski vacation resorts at Aspen Colorado, it is the world famous for the wonderful variety of great restaurants, amazing nightlife, unparrelled shopping as well as a large variety of accommodation to suite absolutly every need and budget.Contrary to what some believe, Aspen can be quite affordable.

There are many ski destinations around the world and toursdesport.com has this list of wonderful ski resorts across US, Canada,Argentina,Chile and the Caribbean regions. Also included are respective ski packages.
