What are your thoughts regarding Yammer? Is it a worthwhile tool to use in an Enterprise IT shop?
We are piloting Yammer in our shop and am curious if other people have had positive or negative experiences with the product. I'm also interested in creative application/use of this tool, so please include some detail as to how you use Yammer.

I used Yammer for a while and it is a useful app, especially for keeping people up to date with projects. However it's usefulness is dependent upon the number of people who use it, the more the merrier. You should also have a look at Wizehive (http://www.wizehive.com/) though, that might be of use to you.
