What Are Your Reviews On The Xbox360 And The PS3?

I Want To Buy One Of The 2 Consoles But I Want To Hear From You Guys On About Which One I Should Buy
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi fo-sho,
This question has been asked a couple of times on Answers. So I did a search so you could read what other people have already said. I answered one of those questions. Maybe more than one.

For me, what it boils down to is I bought an Xbox 360 three years ago because it was more competitive in terms of games library, price and online experience. A lot has changed since then and the PS3 is catching up. However, if playing online with friends is important to you, buy an Xbox 360 because it's a fact that more people own an Xbox than a PS3, so you'll be more likely to find more people to play with. The price is no longer such a huge issue, although the PS3 is still painfully expensive.

Capability-wise, the PS3 is the more powerful machine. However, that's not currently very useful since it's also more complicated to develop for. Many developers create games primarily with the Xbox in mind and then tweak the game for the PS3, not vice versa. So if a game is available on both consoles, there won't be much difference between the two, other than some bonuses such as extra trophies and exclusive DLC content. However, I think that will be/is changing as developers become more comfortable with the PS3 hardware.

There are a number of games that are PS3 exclusive and, so far, they seem to be very technologically advanced and impressive. Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, LittleBigPlanet and the upcoming God of War 3 come to mind. All with stellar reviews, all praised for their gameplay, graphics and innovation. If the list keeps growing, it's going to make buying a PS3 a no brainer. By comparison, the games that are Xbox exclusive (Halo Wars, Fable 2, Gears of War 2) are also impressive, but in my opinion, they aren't as compelling. It's personal choice and I'm sure many would disagree.

As a former PS2 player, and convert to the X-box system, I have to reccomend the 360. As my esteemed colleague Pumkin above pointed out, the 360 has a huge library, a huge online network (and SO MUCH downloadeable content, the games you buy are always being added to - which adds to the value) and the price is definitely right.
Still, the PS3 has some cool games (but fewer) and let me tell you, they are GORGEOUS to look at. Not the the 360 is any slouch, but as Pumkin said, the PS3 is a very high powered machine and is really clean.
However, I got the 360 for the library. You honestly can't beat the fact that there are so many games to play on it and with dowloadable content, you'll never get bored.

Truthfully, either way you go, you'll be happy because gaming is FUN!!

If you primarily want a machine to watch disc movies on and are fully HD'ed up to enjoy blu-ray go with the PS3. If you want a better gaming experience and want to stream your HD movies/shows go 360
