What are your feelings on Nike's new ad with Tiger Woods and his father's voice? Do you think it's creepy like I do? Was it right for Nike?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I don't think it's really that creepy. I can definitely understand how people would take it that way. To me though, it was more thought provoking. Even saddening, really. I wonder what Tiger's dad actually would say. If I remember correctly, Tiger learned to golf when he was 4 years old. Think of all the sacrifices Tiger's dad made for him so that he could become the professional golfer that he is today. While I think his career is far from over, it truly was somewhat at risk during this scandal. If Tiger had folded and ended his career, his dad's sacrifices wouldn't have contributed to Tiger's success at golf from that point on. Fortunately, Tiger is still here and I think he's going to do well.

Say what you will about Tiger's conduct; it still takes quite a man to agree to a commercial like this. I definitely wouldn't want to look that vulnerable.

I think it's really a publicity stunt to ease Woods back into the mainstream. I don't think it's creepy and his career is far from over. He can still play golf and win. He lost some endorsements but I think with all the money the game lost from his absence it will be a long time coming before anyone doesn't really want him to be there. There would have been more outrage if he just came back and did a regular commercial people would be complaining he just wants to blow it off. Again who cares who he slept with it's not our business. The problem is why so many people want to comment on it like what Tiger does changes their lives.
