What are you favorite Quotes, Help keep up the fight and keep up hope when Battling depression? The ones that give you hope?

I found out inspiring quotes, can be very helpful for those of us who battle depression on a daily basis.. What is your favorite inspiration quote, to help you keep going on and battling depression? Mine is: "You ain't gonna win unless you put up a good fight, so do not give up hope any day or night" - John Henry.. His story is a story of strong willpower and work as he raced a steam drill and battled against the machine.. I see depression being the same way boring through the tunnel.. to reach that light.. and even if you lose in the end. You know you did all you could in your willpower to improve your life battling against the worse depression machine in the end. That is a fight worth battling for those of us who have experienced the severe and worse lows of depression.

I like this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson:
"What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are small matters compared to what lies within us."
I am a patient with diagnosed depression and this quote has helped me by changing my focus. I have learned that my depression is brought on by a feeling of helplessness; the inability to change what I could if it were possible. So, this quote reminds me to look within myself for whatever it is I need to move forward.

I am fond of Elizabeth Smart's advice to not give another moment of your life over to dwelling on bad things that happened to you, focus on the things you enjoy doing. Sometimes with depression it is hard to find anything you feel like doing, at times be gentle with yourself. Guilt does not need shame heaped upon it.

I don't think I've ever been truly depressed but I do get discouraged sometimes when life gets rough, so I keep this one in mind:

"I rock upon the waves, but Thou dost steer, Thou who art at the helm of all things Thou hast made." ~St. Augustine

I just hand my hard times over to God and let Him take control of them. It works.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson
