What are the top three suggested motorcycles for a new rider?

I have always been interested in riding a motorcycle, but have absolutely no idea on which type of motorcycle to get. Are there any specific brands that are recommended for first time riders? Any that have female specific bikes? I have sat on a few bikes, just to see how they feel and the bigger the better, being a taller female, I don’t much care for some of the ‘female’ specific bikes, I feel cramped. I would prefer something that wasn’t so wide, more of a crotch rocket you could say. Something that goes fast, is sleek, and looks sporty. Any and all suggestions welcome!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

For your first sporty bike I recommend the Kawasaki Ninja 250r, it looks mean and it has enough power to get yourself smashed. Perfect for beginners.
