For someone who defines themselves as a foodie, vacations are sometimes planned around a city that is known for there food. Because it is food is an attraction for foodies, there are lists out there that help people figure out which city would be the best to visit. The top five are listed below – all for different reasons and in different places.
New York City, referred to as the Big Apple is a place that you can go to different markets or restaurants. There are all kinds of eateries that are dedicated to certain kinds of foods. You can go to Chelsea Market to find such places. There are lots of good restaurants in the city, one that is a three-Michelin-star that can cost you $250 for a nine-course meal.
Of course Las Vegas makes the list. Gambling is not the only thing this city has to offer. There is a French restaurant, a place that offers a “jazz brunch,” and also a place for Mexican tapas. Plenty of places to choose here.
Los Angeles is next. This city has a nice vegetarian tasting menu at a French restaurant in Santa Monica.
The next two cities are not in the United States, so it might be a bit harder for some to get to. They are Paris and Bologna, Italy. Both would be great places to taste great breads and cheese, among other things of course.
Besides these five, there are also lists that would include five more. All offering suggestions on where to go for the best experience.
