I'll give you two answers to this. The first is a list of my current favorite shows on TV, the second is a list of my favorite shows ever, and the third is a bonus list of the highest rated shows voted on by viewers.
Current shows:
1. Friday Night Lights (the best and most underrated show on TV)
2. How I Met Your Mother (HILARIOUS show)
3. House, M.D. (been on the air for a while, and still doesn't feel stale)
4. Scrubs (not as good as it used to be, but still good)
5. Monday Night Football (I mean, come on. Always fun)
All time list:
1. The West Wing (working in DC, it's pretty much automatic for that to be #1)
2. The Wire (and with Baltimore being just a bit up the road, ditto for this)
3. Arrested Development (didn't last long enough, but SO EXCITED for the movie)
4. Ed (I love Tom Cavanagh)
5. Scrubs (especially the older episodes)
TV.com's top 100 list, by rating:
House 2004 - present
1. House, M.D. (ranked 9.2)
2. Supernatural (ranked 9.2)
3. The Simpsons (ranked 9.2)
4. Friends (ranked 9.2)
5. Scrubs (ranked 9.2)
