What are the things to enjoy in Rotorua, New Zealand?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Bungi Jumping, the Zorb, relaxing in hot pools, visiting Maori villages and "shows" at night - including the famous Hangi. There are some nice parks and leisure centres. Walking around town shopping for souvenirs and eating in the cafes is not so bad.

Mountains to walk or climb around and about, trip to the Hidden Valley recommended if you like to stroll by steaming hot pools in the bush. Has a good boat trip at the end too.

Depends what you like to do I guess :)

Rotorua is one of the greatest destinations in New Zealand. It's where the Māori culture is preserved. Some favorites walks of mine are:

Hamurana Springs - This little walk is like stepping back in time with an air of peace and tranquility. The icy waters are crystal clear, shot through with hues of turquoise, greens and blues.

Okere Falls - This walk takes you along the banks of the Kaituna (also known as Okere Falls) river with waterfalls, a cave, parts of our first power station and a trout pool.

The Rotorua Redwoods - There are six walking tracks with varying degrees of difficulty for the leisure walker, families with children and the more experienced hiker.
