Hi and thank you for your question. Chickenpoxused to be considered a normal part of life for every kid twenty years ago. Now with the invention of the Chickenpox vaccine many kids do not contract the itchy disease.
Chickenpox first starts out as raised red bumps all over a persons body for a few days which then turn into fluid filled blisters for about a day which then break a leak all over and at this time they then start to heal. During this whole process the person is often very itchy and uncomfortable.
Some good old fashioned remedies for helping to alleviate the symptoms of Chickenpox are an oatmeal bath, all you need to do is to boil two cups of oatmeal for fifteen minutes and put it in a cloth bag and ties it off with a string. Then you simply get in the tub with the bag floating around.
Vitamin E oil is another great remedy to help alleviate Chickenpox symptoms, all that is needed is to rub the oil all over the blisters.
Lastly Chamomile tea a few times a day will also help to treat Chickenpox. As with any herb it is best to check with your physician before taking them with other medications.
Also be sure to quarantine the infected individual from anyone who has not had the Chickenpox as it is very contagious.
