What are the side effects of HPV vaccine on teenagers?

I have read that HPV vaccines are proven to be effective against HPV and that teenagers should also get vaccinated with this. I have also read some articles who are claiming that there are dangers and side effects of these vaccines if given to teenagers. I would like to know what are the facts about HPV vaccines. What are the side effects of this vaccine? Please include the link of your source. Thank you.

Vaccine to prevents the HPV (human papillomavirus) which will prevent most cases of cervical cancer and genital warts. The vaccine called “GARDASIL” should be given in three shots over six- months. “Gardasil” (Quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus - Types 6, 11, 16, and 18 - Recombinant Vaccine); The vaccine is recommended for girls over 11 and 12 years (vaccine can also be given to girls 9 or 10 years of age). “Gardasil” is also recommended for girls and women age 13 through 26 who have not yet been vaccinated or completed the vaccine series.

In USA, there are about 12,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and almost 4,000 women die from this disease in every year (1% or or 1 million people have visible genital warts in the USA.
Source: CDC

CDC & FDA stated the vaccine as safe and effective. Studies have found no serious side effects. The most common side effect is soreness in the arm (where the shot is given). There have recently been some reports of fainting in teens after they got the vaccine (phobia to injection).

Other side effects are: diarrhea, nausea, very high fever, signs of an allergic reaction, headaches and appendicitis.

Vaccine receiver will still need regular cervical cancer screening (Pap tests) because the vaccine will NOT protect against all HPV types that cause cervical cancer.
