What are the risk factors of HIV]?
When HIV or AIDS was firs recognized in the 80s, it was an almost exclusive disease of white, homosexual males. But this is no longer the case nowadays. Moreover, African American are nine times as likely to be diagnosed with HIV/ AIDS as whites. Women and children are increasingly at risk too. What are the risk factors of having HIV?

The risk factors of HIV/AIDS are still the same as it has always been. The disease does not respect color, age or race, therefore anyone of any sex, age, religious background, sexual orientation, or color can be infected by the virus. But the people who are at higher risks of catching this disease are:
*Those that have unprotected sex with more than one sexual partner. Anyone that does not use a new polyurethane condom every time, he/she comes into sexual contact with his/her partners is at a greater risk of been infected with HIV.
*People who have unprotected sex with a person that is HIV-positive.
*Newborns of HIV positive women, who did not receive treatment-
*Those who Have other sexually transmitted disease, such as Chlamydia, syphilis, herpes or gonorrhea
*People who Share needles during intravenous drug use.
*People who have Received a blood transfusion or blood products between 1978 and 1985.
*Those who have fewer copies of CCL3L1; a gene that helps fight HIV infection.
