The few times when this has happened to me... I look at it as a 'time out' reminder. Obviously I'm doing a little too much. I will rest, meditate or sleep and the ticks will be gone.
Only if they don't go away in a reasonable amount of time or come with other symptoms (please see link provided) should you seek medical help.

Just remember that it's nothing horrible, it's most likely a reminder that you need to take it easy. Our bodies have wonderful ways of keeping us from overdoing it!

M$There are two things worth trying which refresh your eyes and may help, I find them beneficial.
First, I wonder if you use teabags? As I'm English I get through several brews per day, but the used teabags have another use. If you chill them and then place one on each closed eyelid, (somewhere on your own, 'cos you look like a dork!) for about ten minutes , the cold tea will soothe your eyes and I find reduce the annoying twitching.
If you don't have teabags, try using slices of chilled cucumber, again this is very good for soothing the eyes.
